Finalist Grand Designs House of the Year 2022!
Private residence for a family of five built with eight assembled 20′ and 40′ used High cube shipping containers. The house is built on a steep lot near a lake outside Stockholm. The containers structural walls allowed the upper level to be larger than the entrance level and adjust to the canyon shaped hillside.
The clients have built the project themselves and the interior is a composition of rare finds and re-used building components. The client works as a truckdriver i demolition and has salvaged old building components that were adjusted and redesigned to fit the house.
